Scripture teaches us that everything we have is from God and giving financially is a way to remind us that everything we have is from Him. When we are growing in our relationship with God, we will find our affections decreasing for the things of this world, and increasing for the things of His glory, so that as the Scripture teaches us, we are giving not under compulsion, but cheerfully.
